
Orland Huppert
Orland “Hup” Huppert, 89, a longtime resident of Plainfield, and born in Cropsey, Ill., and passed away peacefully on January 10. Beloved husband of the late Louise and loving father of the late Dirk Huppert, Cheri (Ray) Kosarek of Lockport, Erik (Marisa) Huppert of San Diego, Cal.; and Angela (Dan) Ozanic of Chicago; cherished grandfather of Brittany (fiancé Greg), Madison, Giovanni and Andy; dearest brother of the late Doran Huppert of Aurora, and uncle of numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Huppert and mother Esther Huppert. Orland was a 1946 graduate of Plainfield High School, proudly served in the U.S. Air Force, and retired from ComEd after 38 years of service. He was an avid world traveler and proud member of the American Legion Marne Post 13 of Plainfield serving as Commander from 1996-1999 and member of 40/8 Voiture 796 serving as a past Chef de Gar.
Visitation was January 14 at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 South Joliet Road in Plainfield. Funeral services were January 15 at the funeral home. Interment with military honors followed at Plainfield Township Cemetery.
