Carol B. Kroning, age 82, a resident of Plainfield and longtime resident of Evergreen Park, passed away Aug. 28, 2016. She was born July 8, 1934, in Chicago.
Carol is survived by her loving sister, Joyce (Don) Lohrentz; her nieces and nephew, Kirby (Rev. Scott) Bruzek, Jodi (Tom) Johnson, Whitney (Steve) Weber and Matt Lohrentz; her great-nieces and nephews, Clare, Laine and Kit Bruzek, Hillary (Bryan) Fries, Sam Johnson, and Lukas and Nickolas Weber; and many extended members of the Kroning family. She was preceded in death by her parents, Herbert and Lillian Matz.
Carol was the owner of Evergreen Travel in Evergreen Park. She opened the world to her nieces and nephews and loved traveling with them. She was the longtime overseer of the family property at Powers Lake, Wisconsin.
For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Carol’s life, memorials to Peace Lutheran Church would be greatly appreciated.
Visitation was Sept. 3 from 10-11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 4300 S. California Ave., Chicago. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. with Rev. William Beagle officiating. Interment will be private.
