Donald G. Heiman, born Aug. 18, 1936, passed away Sept. 1, 2016. Don grew up and spent most of his life in Plainfield. Most recently, he lived in New Johnsonville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his children, Vickie Hartley of Maple Park and Ronald (Lisa) of Serena. He also had two brothers, Norman (Donna) of Wilmington and James (Marilynn) of Fort Meyers, Florida; and had six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was preceded by his daughter, Tina Marie Severson of Brownsboro, Alabama, and his parents, Alice and Alfred Heiman of Plainfield.
He graduated from Plainfield High School, Class of 1954. He worked many years at P & D of Plainfield, working from shipping up to vice president. In later years he was self employed as a carpenter. He was an avid fisherman. He was also very fond of pets, most recently dogs.
Per his wishes, cremation rites were accorded. He will be at peace at 11 a.m. Oct. 2 at the Plano Cemetery in Plano.
